Industrial Screws goes aerospace

As part of the expansion to new sales sectors, EJOT now offers the known industrial screws also as aerospace option.  


The special thread geometry of the EJOT DELTA PT ® is the result of consequent analysis of the material displacement during thread-forming. The flank angle of this screw reduces the radial stress compared to common thread flanks with 60° flank angles. Since the 20° or 30° angle respectively, generates only slight radial stress a thin-walled design can be realised. The thread flank also guarantees optimum material flow of the formed plastic even with reinforced thermoplastic. The ideal pitch of the DELTA PT ® screw was determined by the balanced ratio of highest possible clamp load and low surface pressure in the plastic. This pitch realises very high thread engagement even at small installation depths.

 Self-tapping fastening into thermoplastics

The EJOT PT ® is the first screw, specifically designed for self-tapping fastening into thermoplastics. For decades it has been the benchmark for reliable direct assembly into thermoplastics. Possible fields of application for this fastening element include all industrial applications and industries. Since the demands of the industry on fastening technology are constantly increasing, the objective of upgrading the already good characteristics of this fastening element was a PT ® screw optimised in all details. The DELTA PT® screw is the result of this optmisation process. It meets the highest demand on precision and reliability as well as offering significant application advantages, for example for the design support with the EJOT ® DELTA CALC prognosis programme.
